Purpose of the Ethics Committee
Hair Restoration Physicians Association Ethics Committee was established to ensure that the members of the association act in accordance with ethical principles in their professional activities, to protect patient rights and to set ethical standards in the field of hair restoration.
Ethical Principles
1. Patient Safety and Welfare
- The health and safety of the patient is always the priority
- Appropriate treatment options are offered through risk-benefit analysis
- Transparent information about complications
2. Informed Consent
- Patients are informed in detail before the procedure
- Possible risks, complications and alternative treatments are explained
- Written informed consent is mandatory
3. Honesty and Transparency
- Realistic expectations are set
- No exaggerated promises
- Treatment results are shared objectively
4. Professional Competence
- Continuous training and development is ensured
- Services are provided only in areas of competence
- Scientific developments are followed
Duties of the Ethics Committee
Rule Making and Standard Setting
- Developing ethical standards in the field of hair restoration
- Determining rules of professional behavior
- Creating advertising and promotion ethical rules
Supervision and Evaluation
- Evaluating member physicians' compliance with ethical rules
- Investigating complaints and denunciations
- Conducting investigations where necessary
Education and Awareness
- Organizing training programs on ethics
- Raising awareness about patient rights
- Organizing professional ethics seminars
Ethical Violation Complaint Process
1. Application
- Complaints are submitted to the board in writing
- Detailed information and documents are requested
- The identity of the applicant is kept confidential
2. Review
- Complaint is taken into preliminary assessment within 15 days
- Necessary documents and witness statements are collected
- The physician concerned makes his defense
3. Decision
- The Board makes its decision within 30 days
- The reasons for the decision are notified in writing
- The right to appeal is recognized
